1. Who we are

Ernest Digital is a sole trader web design and hosting business based in the Midlands, UK, operated by James Ernest Jackson. References to "we", "us", or "Ernest Digital" in these terms refer to this business.

2. Services

We provide website design, hosting, domain management, professional email hosting, and related services as described on our pricing page. The specific services included in your package are confirmed at the point of purchase.

3. Setup fee and payment

A one-off setup fee is payable upfront via Stripe before any work begins. We retain ownership of the website until the setup fee is paid in full. Monthly or annual subscriptions are charged automatically via Stripe on the same date each billing period.

4. What's included

Your monthly or annual subscription includes the services listed in your chosen package. Content updates are limited to 2 per month on the Standard package. A content update is defined as a text change, photo swap, or minor layout adjustment on an existing page. New pages, new features, or design overhauls are not included and will be quoted separately.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by giving 30 days written notice to hello@ernestdigitalmail.co.uk. On cancellation, we will export your website files and transfer your domain name to you at no additional charge.

6. Domain ownership

Your domain name is registered and managed by Ernest Digital on your behalf. You retain ownership of the domain at all times. On cancellation, the domain will be transferred to an account of your choosing.

7. Fair use

We reserve the right to limit or charge additionally for update requests that exceed the fair use limits defined in your package, or for requests that constitute a redesign rather than a content update.

8. Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the total fees paid in the most recent 3-month period. We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic levels, or business outcomes as a result of your website.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
